Michael Schallehn

Michael joined the Alto International School Board in 2016, and is a member of the INTL Executive and Governance Committees. Michael and his wife, Melanie, have two children at INTL: a 6th grader in the German Program of the elementary school and a 9th grader in High School. Both are enthusiastic about the opportunities of the International Baccalaureate Program. Michael works as a Partner at Bain & Company in their Technology Practice. He is a material scientist by training with a Ph.D. from Darmstadt, University of Technology. He grew up in a small village in the flatlands of Northern Germany and therefore continues to be impressed by the scenic wonders of the Sierra Nevada.
