admissions requirements

List of 3 items.

  • language requirement

Preschool - PreKindergarten (Early Years) and Kindergarten
There is no language proficiency requirement for students applying to our early years program or Kindergarten.

    1st - 11th Grade
Students applying to our German, French, or Chinese Program in Grades 1 through 11 will be assessed for grade level proficiency as determined by INTL's curriculum requirements. The Language Assessment will be part of the application process and will be scheduled in January-February.

    Upper School Language Acquisition
Students applying to Grade 6 or Grade 9 need not have any prior experience with language acquisition. Students applying to Grades 7, 8, 10 or 11, however, will be required to have some experience with language acquisition to be discussed during the parent or student interview. For example, a student applying for Grade 7 would be entering Year 2 Spanish acquisition and would need the appropriate Spanish level to join the course. If you have questions about what courses are offered (and at what levels) for our Upper School Language Acquisition students, please reach out to our admission team.
  • age requirement

    • 3 years old for Preschool
    • 4 years old for Pre-Kindergarten
    • 5 years old for Kindergarten
Children will need to be the ages above by September 1st. Based on space availability, developmental readiness for an INTL education and/or prior school experience at a French Accredited School, considerations will be made for children born until December 31st.

Children must be potty trained before starting school.
  • other requirements

Foreign students will be required to comply with all US immigrations regulations. If you are applying for an I-20 Student Visa, please reach out to the admission office for guidance.
