  • Assistant·e maternelle francophone

    L’école internationale de la Silicon Valley recherche un·e assistant·e maternelle francophone pour l'année scolaire 2025-2026. 

    En tant qu’ assistant·e maternelle, vous devrez travailler en étroite collaboration avec les enseignants afin de soutenir les élèves, âgés de 3 à 5 ans, dans leurs apprentissages. Votre responsabilité principale sera d’assurer la sécurité et le bien-être socio-émotionnel des élèves. 

    Pendant les vacances scolaires, les assistants sont considérés comme des animateurs de centre aéré (camp counselor). Ils sont chargés de planifier et mettre en œuvre des activités sous la direction et la supervision du Director of Licensing and Enrichment Support.

    Rémunération et avantages :

  • French-Speaking Student Services & Program Instructor

    Silicon Valley International School (INTL) is seeking an engaging, proactive, and adaptable French-speaking individual to join our school community. This role involves supporting students from 8:45 AM to 3:00 PM, as well as contributing to after-school enrichment programming from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. This unique hybrid position requires on-site presence and someone who can seamlessly transition between various responsibilities, demonstrating exceptional flexibility and the ability to thrive in diverse working environments.

    The successful candidate will support students across two programs and will report to the Elementary School Assistant Principal while also providing direct support to the After-School and Enrichment Coordinator. This position is classified as non-exempt and is a year-round employment opportunity, underscoring our commitment to offering continuous support to our students during the academic year and beyond. Candidates considering this role should be ready for a dynamic and rewarding experience in a collaborative educational atmosphere.

    Key Responsibilities

    Student Services (70%)

    The Student Services Team at Silicon Valley International School plays a vital role in supporting the diverse academic and behavioral needs of students. Working closely with teachers, administrators, and families, the team provides targeted interventions, accommodations, and social-emotional support to help every child thrive. Whether a student needs help developing executive functioning skills, managing emotions, or accessing the curriculum, the team takes a collaborative and student-centered approach to ensure each learner is supported holistically. 

    Typical work activities include:
    • Support students’ academic and behavioral needs throughout the school day
      Provide positive behavior guidance during transitions, recess, and lunch
    • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administrators to implement support plans
    • Assist with monitoring and documenting student progress and behavior
    • Help with organizing and supervising school events and student activities
    • Communicate with families as needed
    • Other tasks as assigned by the supervisors 

    Program Instructor (30%)

    The Program Instructor leads engaging after-school activities and ensures a safe, supportive environment for students during extended care hours.
    Typical work activities include:
    • Supervision of lunch, recess, and after-school care
    • Organizing activities for students to engage in during recess, lunch, and after school (art, sports, drama, STEAM- bring your hobbies and interests to life with the students!)
    • Supporting student events and school life, such as student council, assemblies, and holiday celebrations
    • Build rapport with students and support student behavior outside the classroom with a positive approach  
    • Work with the Dean of Students, Elementary School Assistant Principal, and Principal on student needs and student behavior.
     
     Qualifications
    • Bilingual French speaker
    • Preferably, a  minimum of 2 years of experience working with children
    • Ability to work in a team setting
    • Working with children and youth involves extensive physical activity, mental alertness, and enthusiasm; having good general health and emotional stability is essential.
    • Ability to move quickly to address emergency or potentially dangerous situations
    • Fluency in English for collaboration with colleagues and communication with students

    Compensation and Benefits

    The salary depends on both educational attainment and years of experience. For the 2025-26 school year, this full-time, non-exempt hourly position offers a salary range between an annualized rate of $63,000 and $93,000. Classified as an academic, year-round, non-exempt employee, this position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes the following.
    • Medical, [100% covered for DHMO], fully sponsored Dental, and vision insurance for the employee only, 
    • Employer-paid short-term & long-term disability, life insurance, and employee assistance program 
    • Two days of paid time off 
    • Paid sick leave – eighty (80)-hours equivalent or ten (10) calendar days per fiscal year
    • Eight School holidays- per the school year calendar

    Working Conditions

    • Good general health, physical stamina, and emotional stability are essential.

  • Part-Time Receptionists

    As the Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for our school, playing a vital role in fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for providing administrative support regarding student dismissals and the after-school care team.

    Key tasks include warmly greeting and assisting guests and visitors as they arrive, ensuring that everyone feels valued and comfortable. You will manage front desk operations, which involve efficiently handling inquiries, directing phone calls to the appropriate personnel, and conducting basic triage for injured students.

    Additionally, you will be responsible for accepting deliveries and maintaining an organized reception area that reflects the professionalism of our school. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential as you strive to meet the needs of those who come through our doors. Overall, your role will be crucial in creating a positive first impression and supporting the smooth functioning of our school's daily operations.

    This is a non-exempt, non-benefited, part-time (38% FTE) position, 3:30  PM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, and will report to the Elementary School Principal. The Salary Range for this position is $23.00 to $26.00. 
     

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Great, all visitors, students, faculty, and staff members are greeted in a welcoming manner. 
    • You will be responsible for answering, screening, and routing all incoming telephone calls.
    • Take care of all student requests and attend to minor injuries 
    • Minor secretarial duties
    • Keep the office and adjoining areas well-maintained
    • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
    • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary materials (e.g. pens, forms, and band-aids)
    • Provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/email
    • Receive, sort, and distribute deliveries
    • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook)
    • Clean, apply ice, and minor bandage cuts and treat minor injuries as appropriate, log and issue notices
    • Take care of miscellaneous student requests as appropriate
    • Keep the office and adjoining areas well-maintained
      • Keep all floor spaces, hallways, doorways, and counter spaces free and safe for regular traffic.
      • Alert the administration of all safety and other appropriate issues
      • Maintain an organized workspace
      • Maintain all office machines via existing service contracts

    Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Prior work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role, preferably in an academic setting
    • Ability to work with  Microsoft Office and Google Suite, Mac OS, and iPad
    • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers)
    • Professional attitude and appearance
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
    • Excellent organizational skills

  • Temp Assistment_Elementary English Teacher

    Silicon Valley International School (INTL) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic temporary English Teacher to join our Elementary School faculty from August 11 through October 17, 2025. This position is to cover a planned leave of absence.
     
    Elementary School (PYP) Teachers develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives. They facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and by organizing learning resources and the classroom learning environment. They develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children according to age, ability, and aptitude. They assess and record progress, preparing students for middle school. They link students ' knowledge to earlier learning and develop ways to encourage it further. PYP Teachers challenge and inspire students to help them deepen their knowledge and understanding.  
     
    The Elementary English teacher must demonstrate commitment to IINTL's mission and the population we serve; they must also be responsible, self-motivated, friendly, willing to work with a team of colleagues, and accepting and adaptable to a working environment with different cultures.
     
    The position involves teaching through inquiry-based learning according to the PYP framework, ensuring foundational skill acquisition, and collaborating extensively with English, French, German, and Chinese teachers. Time for collaboration with the other teachers is built into the schedule. INTL seeks teachers who know how to combine academic rigor with student engagement and have experience with inquiry-based teaching and learning.

    The salary range for this temporary teaching position is set between $79,903 and $123,672, based on a prorated annual amount. Your specific salary will be determined by your years of experience in teaching and your academic qualifications. 
    Typical work activities include:

    • Teaching all areas of the Elementary School curriculum as designated
    • Following the guidelines and mission of Silicon Valley International School (INTL) and the International Baccalaureate PYP Programme
    • Taking responsibility for the progress of one or two classes of Elementary School students at a grade level
    • Organizing the classroom and learning resources to create a positive learning environment
    • Planning, preparing, and presenting lessons that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within their class
    • Motivating students with enthusiastic, imaginative presentations/engagements and respectful interactions
    • Managing student behavior and maintaining discipline
    • Preparing, documenting, evaluating, and communicating to facilitate positive student development
    • Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of students' development
    • Providing feedback to parents on the student's progress at parents' conferences and other (often less formal) meetings, and report cards
    • Collaborating with others to plan and coordinate work, liaising with colleagues and working flexibly
    • Staying up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Education or Child Development 
    • Experience teaching at the K-5 grade level, preferably in a language immersion program
    • Minimum 3 years of experience teaching elementary school children
    • Experience with the Primary Years Program (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) preferred
    • Native English speaker

    Compensation and benefits

    Our compensation is dependent on education and experience. For the 2025-26 school year, the salary range for this teaching position is an annualized amount starting at $79,903 [for candidates with a BA at Step 3], and up to $123,672 [for those with a Ph.D. at Step 23].
