  • Associate Director of Admissions French Program

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Silicon Valley International School (INTL) is seeking an Associate Director of Admission ( French Program) to support the Admission Team during a leave of absence. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to transition into a regular position based on school needs and individual performance.

    The Assistant Director of Admission supports the management of the enrollment process and contributes to the school’s efforts to attract, enroll, and retain a diverse, dynamic, and mission-aligned student population from Preschool through Grade 12.

    The school seeks an energetic, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and flexible team member who is internationally minded and demonstrates a strong appreciation for bilingualism and bilingual education. Experience in similar institutions serving diverse, multicultural, and multilingual communities is highly desirable. This position reports to the Chief of Enrollment Management.

    Candidates must be collaborative team players with outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, and the ability to contribute to a culturally competent admissions approach.
    The successful candidates will demonstrate emotional intelligence, empathy for prospective families, and an understanding of the needs and sensitivities of parents, students, faculty, staff, and administrators in support of enrollment and retention strategies. Experience in admissions and/or independent schools is preferred.

    This is a full-time, exempt position. Compensation is based on educational attainment and relevant experience, with a salary range of $80K to $100k in accordance with the School’s regular payroll practices and subject to applicable withholdings.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Support the recruitment and retention of students and families aligned with INTL’s mission and bilingual educational model
    • Support the growth of our French program
    • Represent INTL to prospective families—locally and internationally—effectively communicating the school’s mission, programs, and value proposition
    • Maintain accurate applicant records, including calendar management, application steps, and status updates within Ravenna (including weekly dashboard updates)
    • Organize, coordinate, plan, and support the execution of on-campus, off-campus, and virtual events, including:
      • Saturday Open houses
      • Campus tours
      • Information sessions
      • School fairs
      • Student assessment and visit days
      • New family welcome events and orientations
    • Guide prospective families through the admissions process, providing clear and responsive communication
    • Support retention initiatives and events for current families (e.g., key transition years such as PK–K and Grade 5–6)
    • Work closely with division Principals to coordinate admission tours and student visits with faculty
    • Facilitate the growth of the student ambassador program to support attendance at admission events and/or host student visitors
    • Conduct Parent Interviews 
    • Evaluate applicant files to support the admission committee process
    • Guide Parent Tours in collaboration with Principals and Deans
    • Represent INTL at local school fairs on weekends and evenings in the fall
    • Organize and support onboarding of new students, including support of buddy program, Red Carpet welcome, New Parent Orientations, and New Family Welcome events

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 2–5 years of experience in education, preferably in admissions or independent schools
    • Bilingual or multilingual skills strongly preferred (native speaker of French a plus)
    • Knowledge of the French educational system
    • Experience with admissions and CRM platforms (e.g., Ravenna, Blackbaud, HubSpot, Calendly) preferred
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize and present enrollment data clearly
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a high degree of emotional intelligence
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, multilingual environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in support of admissions events
    • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate framework (PYP, MYP,  and DP)  a plus

  • Director of Auxiliary Programs

    Position Overview
    The Director of Auxiliary Programs is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of INTL’s auxiliary programs throughout the year, including after-school enrichment classes, mini-camps, summer camps, extended day programming, field trips, and selected school events. They will work closely with the Elementary School Principal, Dean of Students, and Chief Financial Officer. The Director of Auxiliary Programs will serve as the leader and supervisor of the school’s program instructors, auxiliary program staff, vendors, and service providers.

    In addition to overseeing auxiliary programming, this position serves as a key operational partner to the Elementary School Principal and Business Office, providing administrative and logistical support for school operations, events, field trips, and special projects.

    This is a full-time position that will report to the Elementary School Principal. Compensation is based on educational attainment and years of experience. The salary range for this full-time position for the 2026-27 school year is $85,000 to $120,000.  This role is also classified as on-site, with an expected schedule of 9:30 am - 6:00 pm.

    Primary responsibilities
    Auxiliary programs
    • Plan and oversee after-school enrichment, extended day, mini-camps, and summer camps, ensuring alignment with the school's mission and student needs
    • Develop and maintain the enrichment catalog; manage registration, enrollment, and family communications
    • Source, vet, and manage relationships with enrichment vendors and community partners
    • Negotiate vendor terms and draft Statements of Work covering scope, scheduling, compensation, and compliance
    • Supervise, support, and evaluate program instructors and auxiliary staff
    School operations and events
    • Coordinate all field trips and off-campus experience logistics, including transportation, contracts, and documentation
    • Support planning and execution of day, overnight, and international trips
    • Partner with the Principal on school events, parent education, and community-building activities
    • Support student arrival, dismissal, and transportation in collaboration with school leadership
    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of the Elementary School Principal 
    Business office support
    • Coordinate accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices with the Business Office
    • Monitor assigned school credit card activity, including receipts, expense coding, and reconciliation
    • Maintain centralized records of vendor Certificates of Insurance, tracking renewals, and ensuring compliance
    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of the Business Office
    Campus presence and leadership
    • Be a visible, active presence on campus, building strong relationships with students, families, and faculty
    • Maintain accurate records across enrollment, attendance, contracts, and program finances
    • Manage program budgets and resource allocation in collaboration with school leadership
     
    Position Qualifications/Skills
    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Experience working in a school setting and overseeing enrichment programs, camps, student activities, events, or related programs
    • Previous leadership experience running after-school programs, enrichment programs, camps, or licensed programs
    • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to work independently
    • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Strong project management and event coordination skills
    • Teaching experience preferred but not required

    Position Summary

    The Early Years English Teacher works across Chinese, French, and German bilingual classrooms to inspire a foundational love of learning. This role supports the intellectual, social, and emotional development of young learners by fostering strong relationships, creating an engaging classroom environment, and thoughtfully organizing learning materials and experiences.
    The teacher develops age-appropriate skills aligned with students’ abilities and needs, assesses and documents student progress, and supports students in making connections between prior and new learning. Grounded in the IB Primary Years Program (PYP), the teacher challenges and inspires students to deepen their knowledge and understanding through inquiry-based instruction while ensuring the development of foundational skills.

    This position requires close collaboration with Chinese, English, French, and German program teachers, with dedicated time built into the schedule. The ideal candidate combines academic rigor with student engagement and demonstrates a commitment to inquiry-based teaching and intercultural learning.

  • Elementary School Enrichment Coordinator

    Position Overview

    The Elementary School Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of INTL’s enrichment programs throughout the year, including after-school enrichment classes, mini-camps, and summer camps, as well as the extended day experience for students. They will work closely with the Elementary School Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, and Elementary School Principal. The Academic Enrichment Coordinator will serve as the director and supervisor of the school’s program instructors. 

    This is a full-time position that will report to the Elementary School Principal. Compensation is based on educational attainment and years of experience. The salary range for this full-time position for the 2026-27 school year is $72,000 to $87,000.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Academic Enrichment Responsibilities
    • Serve as a dynamic leader of the School’s enrichment program, overseeing outdoor supervision, after-school enrichment, and camp programming
    • Plan, design, and implement enrichment and summer programs aligned with the School’s mission and values, including mini camps, bilingual summer camps, and enrichment classes in English and the target language

    • Lead parent communication related to enrichment programming, including the enrichment catalog, schedule updates, camp information, and registration details

    School day responsibilities
    • Model and support the implementation of the School’s mission, vision, and strategic goals
    • Collaborate closely with the Dean of Students, Elementary School Principal, and Assistant Principal to support and oversee student life
    • Serve as a visible, active, and engaged presence on campus, particularly during outdoor supervision, by proactively engaging with students, supporting positive behavior, and building strong relationships across the community
    • Serve as an on-call substitute teacher, as needed
    • Provide small group and/or individualized student support, as requested by the Elementary School Principal

    Position Qualifications/Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field

    • Previous leadership experience running after-school programs, enrichment, or licensed programs 
    • Teaching experience preferred but not required

  • French Academic Dean & Director of French Affairs

    Summary of the Position

    The Academic Language Deans play a central leadership role in advancing Silicon Valley International School’s mission and vision. As pedagogical leaders, they ensure the strength, coherence, and ongoing development of the school’s bilingual IB curriculum and instructional practices.

    Academic Deans oversee curriculum design and implementation, support and coach teachers, and ensure that teaching and learning re?ect INTL’s standards of rigor, inquiry, and bilingual excellence. Through classroom observations, collaboration with teachers and principals, and ongoing analysis of student data, they drive continuous improvement in academic outcomes.

    In addition, Academic Deans serve as key ambassadors of the academic program—partnering in admissions, contributing to school communications, and helping to represent INTL’s educational vision to current and prospective families.
    The French Academic Dean & Director of French Affairs will report directly to the Early Years Principal and the Elementary School Principal. This position also requires the employee to remain on campus for one (1) week following the conclusion of the academic year and to return to campus one (1) week prior to the regular faculty return date in order to support back-to-school planning, preparation, and related activities.
    Curriculum and Program Leadership
    • Oversee the quality, coherence, and development of the French bilingual immersion program across grade levels
    • Ensure strong horizontal and vertical alignment of curriculum within and across languages and divisions (PYP, MYP)
    • Lead ongoing curriculum review cycles to ensure alignment with IB frameworks, developmental expectations, and best practices
    • Partner with divisional leadership to ensure that the curriculum is effectively implemented in classrooms
    • Integrate assessment data and curriculum metrics to strengthen academic outcomes and language development
    • Stay current with educational research, IB developments, and innovations in bilingual and international education
    Assessment and Academic Standards

    School Operations and Communication
    • Ensure principals are informed of key academic developments, challenges, and initiatives
    • Collaborate with administrative teams to support smooth implementation of programs and initiatives (such as French author visits, book fairs, Kangaroo math competitions, etc.)
    • Supports interviewing and oversight of substitute teachers as needed

    French Affairs and Institutional Liaison
    • Coordinate the school’s administrative and institutional relationship with AEFE, MLF, and other relevant French education partners
    • Manage French program compliance and related requirements, including records, registrations on required platforms, and submission of relevant data
    • Support and facilitate teachers’ participation in AEFE/MLF trainings and other required professional development
    • Serve as liaison for French scholarship matters (bourses), supporting families and coordinating with the French Consulate

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of teaching experience
    • Authorization to work in the United States
    • Experience working with Early Years and Elementary School-aged children
    • Experience with the PYP and in bilingual schools is strongly preferred

    Position Summary
    The Learning Assistant (Mandarin Chinese) supports the implementation of Silicon Valley International School's Chinese language immersion program within the Early Years division. Working in close partnership with the classroom teacher, the Learning Assistant helps create a safe, nurturing, and engaging bilingual learning environment that supports children's academic, social-emotional, and language development.
    This position requires a native Mandarin Chinese speaker who consistently models accurate spoken Mandarin throughout the school day and actively supports students' language acquisition through meaningful interactions, routines, and play-based learning.
    This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt, year-round position reporting to the Director of Licensing & Enrichment Programs.
    INTL offers competitive compensation based on education and years of experience. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $31.28 (CO-1) to $46.54 (CO MA-23). Employees holding a Bachelor's degree receive an annual educational stipend of $1,000, while employees holding a Master's degree receive $2,000, paid in accordance with School practices.
    The Learning Assistant is expected to:
    Student Care & Safety
    • Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of students at all times in accordance with California Community Care Licensing regulations.
    • Provide active supervision during classroom activities, outdoor play, lunch, transitions, and extended care.
    • Foster a warm, respectful, and inclusive classroom community that supports students' social-emotional growth.

    Classroom Support

    Year-Round Work Schedule
    As this position is classified as an academic year-round position, including designated faculty breaks and summer months, Learning Assistants are required to work six (6) of the nine (9) weeks of Mini Camp and/or Summer Camp each academic year.
    During Mini Camp and Summer Camp, Learning Assistants will serve in the role of Camp Counselor. In this capacity, they are responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing age-appropriate activities and programs under the direction and supervision of the Director of Licensing & Enrichment Programs.
    The Director of Licensing & Enrichment Programs will establish the camp themes and provide guidance and support in the development and coordination of camp activities. Learning Assistants may utilize the week preceding Mini Camp for planning and preparation. In addition, the Summer Camp schedule will include designated time each week for planning, preparation, and program coordination.

    Qualifications

    Required:
    • Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese with the ability to communicate exclusively in Mandarin with students during instructional time.
    • Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units.
    • At least two (2) years of experience working with preschool or early elementary-aged children.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multilingual, multicultural educational environment.
    Preferred:
