Sara Araghi

2026-2027 is Sara’s second year on the Board of Directors. She serves on the Audit/Risk Management, Finance & Insurance, and the Investments Committee. Sara and her husband, Reza Afkhami, have two children in the school’s French program, in 6th and 10th Grade. Sara is Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager at Franklin Templeton, a global investment management firm. She has a B.A. in Business Administration from University of California, Berkeley and she is a CFA Charterholder. Sara is a native of California but spent her middle and high school years living in Iran sparking her interest in bilingualism and the benefits of having multiple global perspectives. Reza grew up in France making the French program an ideal fit for their family. As a family, they enjoy spending time in the mountains skiing in the winter and hiking/lake activities in the summers.
